15^th July 2013 – the day dawned with joyful notes as it was a very important day for the 15 tertians who were to commence the tertianship programme. Sr. Udaya, Sr. Tresa and the sisters of the Sanjeevani community prepared a very meaningful prayer service for the tertians with a symbolic washing of the hands with water which has the element of healing, cleansing, purifying and quenching thirst. Subsequently each one was anointed by the Holy water before entering the chapel  which meant getting rid of all the obstacles, worries, anxieties and fears and make one worthy to enter into this programme arranged by the Congregation.

The handing over ceremony of the leadership of the Europe province took place on 7th July 2013, during the Eucharistic celebration. Four priests from Austria and Slovakia concelebrated the Eucharist. All the members of the community of Mother house, a good number of the members of Europe province, guests from Slovakia and Austria were present for this solemn occasion.

90th anniversary of foundation of our Congregation

Circular of the Superior General

The Province Animator Sr. Laila arranged a three-day seminar in preparation for the celebration of the anniversary of ‘90 years of SRA’ at Preriton Ki Rani Sadan Panchwati, Ranchi. All the animators of the communities of Ranchi Province and a good number of sisters participated in the seminar from 28– 30 June 2013.

Competent resource persons enlightened the members on Eucharistic presence and New Evangelization.

The celebration on July 1, 2013 of 90 years of our Congregation’s foundation day was held with meaningful and serious preparations in every community of our province.
Three days intense preparation was held all over the province. Besides the talk by a priest, reflection, and reception of the sacrament of reconciliation in every community, a
morning prayer of Tridium was circulated throughout the province by the province team.

The community of Hallenberg celebrated the 90 years of SRA foundation with great joy and enthusiasm.

Bombay Province celebrates 90 years foundation day

Varanasi Celebrates 90 years foundation in the cathedral and in Mission stations

Bariarpur parish is situated on the bank of river Ganges, 180 km east of Patna, capital of Bihar state. The main railway line connecting Delhi and Calcutta run through Bariarpur. The parish has contact with near about 40 villages.

Rev. Archbish William D’souza, the Bishop of Patna Diocese, invited the SRA to take up the mission in Bariarpur. After a process of discernment and with the permission of the General team the province team decided to take up this mission.

The Annual juniorate course for the junior sisters of Lucknow, Ranchi and Varanasi was hosted by Ranchi Province in Amar Jyoti rehabilitation centre Chanho, Ranchi. The course commenced on 19 May and concluded on 10 June 2013. In all there were 41junior sisters attending the course. The topics dealt with were communication skills, Psalms, Prayer life, community life, history of the congregation, life and mission, and Ratio Institutionis.

The sacred heart Convent, Zeihkulung, Manipur was blessed and inaugurated on April 23, 2013. It is the first inter collaborative mission of the Indian provinces. Prior to the solemn Eucharist was the inauguration and blessing of the house. Fr. Tommy Vicar General of the archdiocese of Imphal conducted a short prayer service and Sr. Zeena the province animator of Mangalore and Sr. Vinaya the province animator of Varanase cut the ribbon and declared open our first community in Manipur, North East region.

The responsibility of leadership was symbolically passed on by the former  General to the new General team in a meaningful and well attended handing  over ceremony held on January 26, 2013. It was presided over by Christoph   
Cardinal Schönborn, the Archbishop of Vienna in the presence of Vicar General for religious. Also present were Dr. Wolfgang Kimmel, the parish priest, Fr. Peter, the chaplain of Mother house, sisters from Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Rome, Italy and well-wishers. The province animator Sr. Carmen and her team, Sr. Edel,

The 9th Ordinary General Chapter 2012 was concluded in Igatpuri with the solemn Eucharistic Celebration by Most Rev. Percival Fernandez, Auxilary Bishop of Mumbai on October 14, 2012. It was  a very gracefilled moment for the Congregation as each sister in the Congregation expreinced the blessings from God.

On October 6, 2012 during the General Chapter proceedings the following Sisters were elected as the members of General Council.

With immense joy we announce that Sr M. Nanditha Pereira SRA has been elected as the 8^thSuperior General of the Congregation of Missionary Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles on October 5, 2012.

On October 5, 2012 after the election of the Superior General Sr Nanditha SRA, a thanksgiving Eucharist was celebrated at 5.00 pm in 'Satyanjali' Bodewig Formation House, Igatpuri. Fr Cedric Prakash, Moderator of the Chapter celebrated the Holy Eucharist along with Fr Deigo Pereira.

9^th Ordinary General Chapter has begun in ‘Satyanjali’ Bodewig Orientation House, Igatpuri. This is the most significant and grace-filled moment for the Congregation as this General Chapter has been held in the place where our Founder Fr Antonius Maria Bodewig served as a Missionary and formed a vision to work for India.

In preparation for the General Chapter the Delegates have entered into Retreat on September 23, 2012 directed by Most Rev. Fr Terence Farias SJ.

The Inauguration of 9^th Ordinary General Chapter 2012 was held on October 1, 2012. It was grace-filled moment for the Congregation.

INAUGURAL WELCOME ADDRESS

My Dear Sisters, I feel privileged to write this third General Chapter preparation circular as I leave for India today. This circular was supposed to be written on April 7 , 2011 which was a day in 1949 when Pope Pius XII elevated our Congregation to the status of Pontifical right.
