Platinum Jubilee Celebration

The celebration of Sr. Lioba Gonsalves' 75 years of unwavering faith and service in the vineyard of the Lord was truly a momentous occasion for the congregation. It was a time of immense pride and joy as the sisters came together to honor her remarkable dedication and commitment.

The Holy Eucharist, was celebrated on 14th January, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. James Church Agashi, by Rev. Archbishop Felix Machado, the Bishop of Vasai Dioceses. added a special significance to the occasion. Additionally, ten priests joined in concelebrating the Holy Eucharist, symbolizing the collective support and blessings for Sr. Lioba. The day was also graced by esteemed guests including Rev. Sr. Nanditha Pereira, our Superior General, and Sr. Avita Dmello, our Provincial Superior, along with sisters from the Bombay Province.

Following the solemn Eucharistic celebration, a felicitation program took place at St. James Church Hall, where heartfelt tributes and expressions of gratitude were offered to Sr. Lioba. It was a touching moment as her decades of selfless service and unwavering faith were acknowledged and celebrated by all in attendance.

The program concluded with an agape, symbolizing the spirit of fellowship and communal joy that permeated the event. As the congregation gathered to share a meal together, there was a sense of unity and gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon Sr. Lioba and the inspiration she continues to provide to all who know her.
